Ti-Ratana Meals on wheels visited Rohinya families at Sentul - 24 April 2011

This is our 3rd time food distribution to Myammar refugee quarters. A lead given by Lee Nya who sometimes help us too. Rohinyas are a muslim community.Bearing in mind, Meals on Wheels (MOW) would go and distribute regardless of race and religion .

Weeks before the event date, we have compassionate donors pouring in goodies requested for the 5 Rohinya families. However we receive an overwhelming response, we extended the goodies to more family.

And this time we need not cook  as we managed to get a muslim restaurant - Restaurant Rebung Chef Ismail  http://www.rebung.com.my/ ...yes he is our very own Malaysia's local celebrity chef, fondly known as Chef Ismail ( who is now a Dato )
Restaurant Rebung agreed to sponsor MOW once a month. It is indeed great that MOW being able to get support from a muslim restaurants to participate in our project. And the chefs at the restaurant whipped up a jolly good meal. They were there early in the morning for the cooking.


 

Yes, we have tasted the food....it's finger licking good..LOL! TERIMA KASIH BANYAK BANYAK Chef Ismail, Alfred and all the staff at Rebung restaurant.

These Rohinya families lived in rented houses in Sentul and equipped with very basic amenities in their home.

We are appreciative that so many volunteers came to help us out during that day
