Ti-Ratana Meals on Wheels to Kepong - 20 Feb 2011
Then came Feb, when the Rabbit hopped in, we made a trip to a home in Kepong managed by an Indian couple.
This home has orphanage and old folks. The youngest being 2 years old
When we reached there, the guardian who manages the children were not around except the caretaker. And they did not open the gate for us till they receive the permission from the guardian. This home really emphasize on children's safety.
Children are well trained, queing up for food, pray before taking their meal and this is something very rare that we observed, everyone must show their plates to the guardian after they finished their meal. This is to ensure there's no wastage
CNY was still in the air, Ang pows and mandarin oranges were distributed to them
A few days after we forwarded our mail out, a kind samaritan (Ms Linnet Tan) send us a mail that she had purchased 25 matresses for this home.....SADHU!SADHUSADHU! The children were happy to have their new matresses
Bro Ivan met an individual volunteer (Ms Lee Nya) who was there to help the children's homework. She NOW too join us in our recent food drop off together with his brother.Isn't this GREAT!Sadhu....
Before we depart the children bid farewell to us....and thank you to all volunteers
and before we "jalan" our 2 brothers here just can't wait for another food drop off...LOL!
