Meals on wheels to Kapar 24 Oct 2010 (Update )

Dear Volunteers and friends

First of all, we thank you all donors who had contributed the depavali goodies for our coming trip...SADHU SADHU SADHU

and also to all volunteers who came last saturday to help us to do packing and bring more goodies....SADHU SADHU SADHU

We are able to repack 3kg of rice for each family

And we are not forgetting the children as well, we have lollipops, mentos & sugus for them

Voila! we have all item packed inside. And it is about 20 items in this bag of different items...

And with all contributions we managed to get 61 depavali goodie bag...YAY! 

Here's how you can volunteer yourself this weekend.

Pre event - This time we preparing for approximately 180 pax

1) Food Preparation team - anything related to food preparation for cooking (like cutting vegetables, washing vegetables, marinating …etc) 10 volunteers to assist. Help washing of utensils after preparation is also required.  Need volunteers to come in on Saturday 23rd Oct @ 2.00 pm to prepare for cooking on Sunday.

Event Day

2) Cooking team (sunday 24th Oct @ 7.30am)- Need at least 10 volunteers to  assist.  Another team required to load packed goodies. 

3) Washing/clean up team (sunday)– some of you may not be following us for food distribution therefore we greatly appreciate your stay back in the centre to wash/clean up the kitchen  before heading home.


And all cooking must end by 9.45am. Every dish is ready, need a volunteers to load it our lorry immediately.

 

Volunteers -We also need your help to set up (for those who can make it early to set up the venue for us - ensure that there's table ready for serving dish and where's the que) unload food, serving and back to the centre to assist cleaning up the remaining. 

We will be giving away Depavali goodies for each family (total of 60 families) and a coupon system has been set up to ensure every family redeem their goodies fairly.

If you wish to join us on our meals on wheels this Sunday 24 Oct 2010 @ Kapar and assisting us in food distribution and staying nearby Klang or Shah Alam, you may refer below map and set your GPS. We will depart from our centre at 10am. AND IF YOU STILL DON'T KNOW THE WAY AFTER LOOKING AT THE MAP, IT IS BEST TO MEET US AT OUR CENTRE, SOMETIMES IT IS DIFFICULT FOR US TO GUIDE YOU OVER  THE PHONE  WHILE DRIVING. Appreciate those who follow us to print a copy and bring along, just in case you lost your way.
