Meals on Wheels visit to Puchong Community Centre for the Poor

Coming 12 Dec 2010 , we have another place to visit besides Shalom Home.In this festive spirit of giving, Barry Ong's Family & friends are going to bring festive cheers to the Puchong Community Centre for the Poor and invited Meals on Wheels to go together to distribute food on the 12 Dec 2010 @ 1pm.  All cooking will be carried out at Ti-Ratana Welfare Society for 40 pax (please refer here for details http://mahasadhu.blogspot.com/2010/12/ti-ratana-meals-on-wheels-early.html  if you wish to volunteer). 

Nun Sister Joan Philip, a nurse trained in England was serving in The Assunta hospital at the delivery ward.
She left the hospital few years ago and dedicate herself to serve the poor around Taman Puchong Indah. She started the learning centre 25 years ago and also the Community Clinic that is operating for last sixteen years is a place of hope & help for the poor and destitute.

Sister Joan operates both centres on a very low profile, as such the funding are solely by word of mouth.

1) Pre loved clothings, shoes (in good conditions) and books in good condition
2) Dettol soap for the Community Clinic
3) Milk powder for the Elderly
4) Stationeries for the children
