Irene Hui from Ti-Ratana Penchala Community Centre organized a first get together to form a 'F & B Club', short for food & beverage club.The purpose of the club is to share recipe and to learn the art of cooking, baking, herbal drinks and many more.
For the purpose of sharing and fund raising a cook book will be the F & B Club's future project.
All are encourage to join us as members for the purpose of sharing, fellowship and most of all, learn the art of making food with loving kindness.
Savoury Scones
I am sharing with all of you, the recipe for Savory Scones for our
busy people and all it takes is twenty minutes to make them
Ingredients
3 cups of plain flour
1 tablespoon of baking powder
1/4 cup of castor sugar
1 teaspoon of salt
1 cup of plain Nestle yogurt
3 1/4 cup of anchor unsalted butter
1 cup of spring onions (chop roughly)
1 cup of crab sticks (cut into small cubes)
1. Mixture ‘A’ is to Mix plain flour, baking powder, castor sugar & salt together in an
airtight zipper bag/plastic folder and shake it evenly. (Note: can be
stored in freezer/fridge for one month)
2. Pour point mixture ‘A’ into a mixing bowl and add in the Anchor brand unsalted
butter. Use your finger to crumple the butter into mixture ‘A’.
3. Mix in spring onions and crab sticks (optional to add ingredients
of your choice e.g. ham or prawns & etc)
4. Place out the dough onto a flat smooth surface. 5. Flatten the dough and cut it into pieces with a cutter. Lay onto
the oven tray, glaze with some yogurt on top of the scones and bake at
200 degree Celsius. (Please pre-heat the oven to the temperature 200
degree)
6. Bake for 20 minutes until golden brown.
7. Serve hot.
