Meals on Wheels @ Selangor Family Aid Association 22 Aug 2010

It was quite cloudy this morning and thought it would be raining like cats n dogs. Many volunteers came early ....chop chop, cut cut,cook cook cook, wash wash

and some busy preparing mango pudding..."ALAMAK" forget to get a tougher mould to hold d pudding.

Nevertheless, they made do to whatever we have in d kitchen....voila...like that also can...well, all of them r not a trained chef or professional chef but a group of humble home trained chefs who cook whole heartedly not only for their families but also for the unfortunate people of meals on wheels.



D kitchen was full of energy....."OKOK.....All cooking must be DONE by 10.30am...U have half an hour to go"...shouted Andrew...wahhhh sounds like Iron Chef competition...LOL! So serious hor!

Unloading begin....Andrew lead the prayer and off we go.

And the adventure begin from TRCC Penchala to Ulu Yam.The scenery to Ulu Yam was awesome and breathtaking. We took the old way from Batu Caves and not the usual highway. MOW lorry has to go slow as it was loaded with groceries and porridge.

Finally at 12pm ..we reached our destination.

Their lunch starts at 12.30pm....before we served the community, Ms Elaine  took us on a tour of the home. This home has old folks, handicapped and special children. And some do have mentally challenged problem.

Makan Time

We have got a pair of lovely twin sisters birthday today..and their dad has made a donations of groceries to the unfortunate on behalf of their lovely daughters' birthday...SADHU!SADHU!SADHU!...May they be well and happy.

And to the twins, we have blown a birthday cake on behalf of both of you together with the residents and the makcik in pink did the honour being the eldest in the family 80+++ and she is still going STRONG....!!!

We have fairly distributed the contributions not only to this home and some went to another home in Ulu Yam - Sri Sayang which housed about 30 unfortunate residents. We will be heading to this home on 5 sep 2010. Find out more in our next update.
