Meals on Wheels @ Krash Pad KL & Rumah NurSalam

First and foremost we would like to thank  our donors & volunteers who has supported us & lended their time & energy to make this project fruitful and joyous to some...MAHASADHU!SADHU SADHU!

Last weekend it was pouring like cats & dogs and was a heavy traffic jam over federal highway. Our Meals on Wheels lorry were caught in the jam as well  but we managed to get ourselves to the destination safely.

Our first venue was Krash Pad KL located at Jln TAR which is a youth hangout centre gearing up to address more troubled teenagers, include the problematic mat rempit (street racers). These teenagers age 13 - 21 years old and they visit the centre everyday. They have facilities & classes for the teenagers

All teenagers were advised to keep the plastic containers so that in future when we are there, they could re-use the container.

Ms Martha - Operations Manager (centre) gave us a brief around the centre. Where we are standing is a library. They have approximately 2500 copies of English literature and they are in  need of Malay literature books. Anyone is most welcome to donate it to them.


We later proceed to Rumah NurSalam (thank you Datin Malina who lead us there) which house abandoned babies (from 8 months old) and children up to 12 years

Children were happy to see us and hope to be "superheroes" one day and gave all of us 'salam'.. so sweet!

Their BIG abang was there to play with them too.  

This is their ZZZzzz area...saffe n sound. Some may have to share bed. There aren't enough for these babies & todlers.

Well, we will be heading to this 2 venues every Saturday as they do not have permanent meal provider and at Rumah NurSalam, caretakers are not allow to cook at all.. They depend meals from donors.

The babies need baby food such as milk powder (baby range) ,neslac,nestum etc ,... also diapers & baby clothing. If anyone of you who wish to donate the baby goodies to them, you may deliver directly to them or deliver to our centre, we can help you to send it to them when we have our food drop off on Saturday.

Volunteers are most welcome to cook, food preparation food distribution and donation in kind and cash in order for us to sustain our meals on wheels. If you wish to volunteer on Saturday,just  send us email trccpenchala@gmail.com. Provide us you name,h/p no, email, NRIC and when u can volunteer.
